For half a year I had the opportunity to work with a restaurant with one Michelin star: the « Speisemeisterei ». Based in Stuttgart, this restaurant gave me the chance to develop a project directly with chefs. Indeed while I was there I realized that chef’s creativity is endless. However, plates they use don’t always perfectly match to their needs. Futhermore, a restaurant is a well-organized place where space is rare. From these two key points I started to think about a product which could open the creativity, without taking more space and which would not be one more plate on a shelf. That is why I created Ména, a collection of ceramic modules to add directly on existing plates, in order to create your unique product.

The team was very involved and worked on this project by trying each new prototype I brought in the kitchen. They create new recipes and tried them. With eighty differents prototypes that I did in a ceramic workshop, they had a lot to test. We worked as a team, all together and respecting the role of each other. When I was thinking about a new product, they were trusting me. Once the prototype was in the kitchen, I was in the background, admiring the work of talented chefs. They created new landscapes thanks to Ména, and their wonderful creativity.
